FAQ

  • What is your mission?

We care to making reading and resilience tools accessible to everyone who is seeking support. We offer a variety of options to make this possible. Throughout our work, we’ve seen the need for reading and the lack of accessibility to strong resources. We hope this will help bridge the gap.

  • What services do you provide?

We provide 1:1 or very small group reading and resilience instruction as well as self-paced courses and tools that you can use at home for your convenience.

  • Who do you support?

We support children and teens of all ages with reading and resilience. Most of our clients are referred to us by prominent neuropsychologists and clinical psychologists in the area, so often have just received diagnoses of dyslexia or other learning differences. Our vast background allows us to cater to a variety of needs and individualize our instruction effectively.

  • What is your educational and professional background?

I began literacy intervention as a literacy tutor in schools as part of a non-profit organization in Texas, and then I became a speech-language pathologist specializing in learning differences for several years before returning to being an educator again. I have an eclectic and deep understanding of how communication, learning, and cognition work together with reading skills and resilience.

  • What is the investment?

The investment includes weekly 45-60 minute sessions with some homework occasionally assigned when appropriate. Our fees vary based on whether you are looking for 1:1 or group support. Please inquire for our latest fees or visit our services page.

  • What led to your passion in reading and resilience?

I remember the second I started decoding words on a page as a young reader, I was completely mesmerized. It went beyond the written words and tapped into something deeper and more beautiful: imagination, creativity, and connection with others. I still remember the magic of reading my first book, sitting in a quiet, low-traffic corner of the house, with time unknowingly passing by. I wish whatever version of that joy for my students to experience.

Writing our stories and sharing them with the world opens up a great sense of self-knowing, joy, and outward expression. There is nothing like the feeling of being known, understood, and seen. So, I find this to be an integral piece in our learning journey.
